Arena Resources, Inc. Commences Production on Oklahoma

Tulsa,
Oklahoma January 7, 2002 Arena Resources,
Inc. (OTCBB: ARRI) ("Arena") Monday announced that it
has successfully completed and commenced production
on the Casey No. 1, which was drilled to an approximate
depth of 2,100 feet, in Muskogee County, Oklahoma.
The initial production rate is 400,000 cubic feet per
day. Arena owns a 94 percent working interest in the
Casey No. 1.
Arena management also announced it has completed additional
leasing activities in the immediate area resulting in
approximately 400 acres available for further development
opportunities.
